Who knew before this day was done

That you would have to go so young


We laughed and played and worked together

I wished it could have last forever


Your smile was sweet and your presence was warm

I wish I could have kept you from harm

I wish I could have been there to say goodbye

But I still feel you near everytime I cry

I think about everything that could have been

And how wonderful you were every now and then
Everyday we have friends and family that we love a care for
And even though they are gone they suffer no more
